AKWAABA! (Welcome in the Akan language).

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Welcome to the Diaspora Investment Forum (DIF)

Over the years the thought of investing and repatriating to the motherland has always hovered in the hearts and minds of Africans in the Diaspora.

However many of our brothers and sisters  have been reluctant to invest in Africa, becuase of a lack of transparency, bad governance, propaganda and fraudulent practices by unscrupulous persons.

The Diaspora Investment Forum is an exciting new concept that has been designed to set the framework in place for those Africans in the Diaspora who want to invest, conduct business or even repatriate to the motherland.

The Diaspora Investment Forum now gives our Brothers and Sisters the opportunity to make their dream a reality by informing them of the numerous business and investment opportunities that exist in Ghana.

The forum will provide a platform where ideas, knowledge, experience and information on how Africans in the Diaspora can contribute to the economic development and growth of the motherland.

In collaboration with a range of seasoned professionals and institutions, including the ministries of Trade & Industry and Tourism and Diaspora Relations, the Diaspora Investment Forum aims to equip our brothers and sisters with all the relevant information they need to make informed choices about living and/or investing in Ghana and Africa.

With its historical links to the African Diaspora and being at the forefront of African emancipation, Ghana is the gateway to the continent. Ghana is also enjoying a period of sustained economic growth and development.

You will have the opportunity to make a profitable return on your invetsment(s) and at the same time, will help build the Motherland. If we do not invest now, our next generation could repeat what our ancestors have been through; another five hundred (500) years of economic bondage.

If not now, when? If not you, who?

I look forward to seeing you at this year's forum between August 12th,13th and 14th 2008 and your contributions to the forum website.

Asantesana, Medawaase Paa (Thank you)
